Welcome Message<\/strong><\/h1>\n

We invite you to explore our Website and Facebook Pages where you\u2019ll find information on our Club meetings and events as well as articles and discussion on current political and community issues.<\/h3>\n

Some people ask, \u201cWhat is a Democrat?\u201d Democrats believe that regardless of what ethnic group, religion, lifestyle, age or income bracket one is a part of, we are all in this together. As such, Democrats embrace the \u201cWe\u201d approach to life, whereby policies should serve the greater good and where everyone\u2019s rights are protected and valued.<\/h3>\n

Our overriding goals are to help elect representatives who create and uphold laws embodying the \u201cWe\u201d principle and to serve our community in the same spirit. Our club members work actively in many endeavors to reach these goals!<\/h3>\n

Our chief projects are:<\/strong>
\ncandidate and precinct development;
\nvoter registration and voter turnout;
\nproviding a local headquarters for campaign activities;
\noutreach to the community with food, clothing and other support;
\nmonthly meetings with interesting speakers on relevant topics;
\nletter writing to the media and elected officials;
\ntaking stands with resolutions on matters of local, state and national interest;
\nvigils and rallies to bring attention to concerns of residents;
\nseminars and other educational activities;
\nexciting fundraising events; and
\njust plain fun get-togethers!<\/h3>\n

We\u2019d love to meet you and sincerely hope you\u2019ll join us in our activities. Together, we can advance Democratic values in our communities and beyond.<\/h3>\n

Mission Statement<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Foothill Communities Democratic Club of San Bernardino County is committed to preserving and fostering the Democratic Party\u2019s principles and it\u2019s spirit of dedication in support of the rights, liberties and dreams of all citizens of American society, with equality and without exclusion, through education, voter registration and personal participation in the political process in all local, state and national political campaigns and elections for public office and political initiatives and referenda.<\/h3>\n

Our Values<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We stand for human rights and social justice. We believe in equal opportunity without the exclusion of any citizen or resident. We are committed to the rule of law and public election of governmental officeholders by Democratic process. We believe that the voting franchise gives us the power to effectuate change and ensure the human rights and social justice will not become subverted by an unjust government as the founding fathers of the Republic had envisioned. We encourage action and the fair sharing of responsibility for the improvements of our community and society as an integrated whole.<\/h3>\n
